Productive process

Productive process

The production process of manufacturing is a path of progressive transformation and enhancement . Innovative machines and technologies combined with decades of experience mark the main phases of the production cycle.

01

Tanning

Raw Hides Warehouse

Proven storage methods allow the raw hides to be stored safely.

Liming

Skin depilation phase.

Fleshing

Mechanical procedure for the removal of residues of subcutaneous tissue and fat.

Tanning

Treatment carried out in drums to make the skin rot-proof and give specific physical-mechanical properties.

02

Retanning

Pressing

Operation that stretches and evens out the skin while also eliminating excess absorbed water.

Crack in WB

Phase of separation of the superficial part of the leather (grain) from the lower part (crust).

Shaving

Mechanical process that allows to evenly adjust the thickness over the entire surface of the leather.

Trimming

Manual elimination of superfluous parts to give a defined contour to the edge of the skin.

Retanning / Dyeing

Treatment carried out in drums to give fullness, texture and color to the skin.

03

Dryings

Vacuum drying

The leather is dried by a system consisting in hermetically sealed metal shelves.

Frame drying

Drying of the positioned and stapled hides by means of a system made up of metal nets.

Grinding

Skin imperfections are removed with a ge abrasive systems.

Staking

Skins are stretched and softned with the staking machine, a device that performs a mechanical "peg" beating.

04

Finishing

Infill

Manual application of of finishing on leather with pads.

Roller Coating

Mechanical operation performed by a roller that applies the finish on the surface of the leather.

Spraying

The finishing is applied on the surface of the leather with spray guns.

Printing

Leather pressure performed with metal cylinders or metal plates suitably knurled to mark the leather with particular designs.

Fulling

The leather is softened by mechanical shaking created by drums with regulated temperature and humidity.

Ironing

Mechanical process that gives the required brightness tone to the skin and adds a sensational touch.

05

Quality Check

Final check

The finished leathers are carefully inspected and tested by quality managers to ensure that the requirements fully comply with all agreed standards.

Selection

Qualified staff proceed with the selection of the leathers according to precise criteria established with the customer.

Trimming

Manual operation performed before measurement to eliminate unnecessary parts and give a defined contour to the edge of the skin.

Measurement

A machine measures the surface of the leather that is marked with a stamp on the back side.

Packaging

The skins are packed in different ways according to customer requests and then shipped.
